Crail details.

Post by cshrally » Tue May 17, 2011 10:18 pm

The day may not stick to a rigid format that you have been use to in the past at trackdays. We are looking to maximise peoples enjoyment and experience with their cars and at the same time make the day a bit of a sociable affair.

There are no hard and fast rules set other than common sense and courtesy to other users is a must.

There will be a circuit set up of around a mile distance (about knockhill size). No more than ten cars allowed at any one time, this is the only rule set so far.
Chances are we may stipulate lower numbers, however we are looking also at setting up what Crail term as the time attack track and we will look at setting up the drift track also so people can have a play and swap between tracks. Basically whatever takes your fancy.

There is also a suggestion that we might look at setting up a forward only autotest at some point in the day and may change the track format in the afternoon to something looking more like a rally stage but with a lot more room to play. We are open to suggestions to maximise your days enjoyment.

Please drive sensibly on other areas around the airfield that are not set up. ie no wheel spins, donuts etc. there will be plenty opportunities on track and drift track to play. We will not be asked back if we make arses of ourselves.

Kick off at 10am so arrive anytime before.

Organisers request that open top cars require helmets but SOSE request ALL passengers and drivers wear helmets.
Licences, MOTs etc are not a requirement for checking but bring documents just in case.

Drivers and passengers will be issued with wristbands.

Finally, i look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Regards

Colin S. Hay.
